Privacy Policy
We do not collect your personal data.
Our tools run entirely in your browser. We have no accounts, no user database, no tracking cookies, no advertising pixels. The calculator you just used forgot your inputs the moment you closed the tab. We sell nothing, share nothing, and retain nothing.
Who we are
LifeByLogic ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent publication of interactive tools operated by a small editorial team. We are responsible for any personal data processed through lifebylogic.com and its subdomains.
For questions about this policy or how we handle data, contact us at hello@lifebylogic.com.
What data we collect
Personal data we collect directly: none. We do not operate user accounts, email signup forms (beyond our optional newsletter, described below), or any system that asks you to identify yourself. You can use every tool on this site without providing any information about yourself.
Data that stays in your browser only. When you enter inputs into a tool (for example, your sleep habits in the Sleep-Cognition Optimizer, or your lifestyle factors in the Brain Age Index), that data is processed locally by JavaScript running on your device. It is never transmitted to us. When you close the tab, the data is gone.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) maintains short-term request logs containing your IP address, user agent, and the pages you visited. These are retained for security and performance purposes only, are not linked to your identity, and are deleted according to Cloudflare's standard retention schedule.
Newsletter (if you sign up). If we offer an optional newsletter ("The Logic Letter") and you choose to subscribe, we collect only your email address. We use it only to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. We do not share or sell this list.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party trackers. This is a deliberate design choice.
We may use a small number of strictly-necessary functional cookies — for example, to remember your dark-mode preference — if and when we add such features. Any such cookie is stored only on your device, contains no personal identifiers, and can be cleared via your browser.
How tools work
Every tool on this site — Brain Age Index, Sleep-Cognition Optimizer, and all future calculators — is built to run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. When you enter inputs, the computation happens on your device. Results appear on your screen. Nothing is sent to a server.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools → Network tab while using any tool. You will see no outbound requests containing your input data.
Share functions. If a tool offers a "Share Your Result" feature, that feature creates a URL or image on your device which you then voluntarily share through your own channels (text, email, social). We do not see or store the shared content.
Third parties
We rely on a minimal number of third-party services to operate the site. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides security. Cloudflare may log request metadata such as IP addresses for abuse prevention. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the site. Google Fonts may log requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- GitHub — hosts our source code. GitHub does not interact with site visitors directly.
We do not embed social media widgets, advertising networks, or analytics services that would expose you to additional third-party tracking.
AI crawlers and content indexing
We explicitly permit AI crawlers — including GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and similar — to index our publicly-available content. This is a deliberate choice: when AI systems cite our methodology, our work reaches more people.
AI crawlers only access public pages. They cannot access your inputs into tools — because those inputs never leave your device in the first place.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally no data for us to give you, correct, or delete. If you have ever corresponded with us by email, and you want that correspondence deleted, email hello@lifebylogic.com with your request. We will delete it within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom: Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, to opt out of any sale of information (we do not sell information), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@lifebylogic.com.
Children's privacy
Our tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Because we do not operate user accounts, the tools do not require a user to identify their age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, by contacting us via email), please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Medical, financial, and legal information
The tools on this site — including the Brain Age Index, Sleep-Cognition Optimizer, and all future calculators — are educational tools, not medical, legal, or financial advice. They do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and they do not constitute professional advice. Results should not replace consultation with a qualified professional.
Your inputs to these tools are never transmitted to us, so no protected health information is created, received, or stored by us.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features, partner with a new service, or if legal requirements change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the date of any change. Material changes will be announced prominently on the site.
Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
