§ Write to the Editor

We read every message.

LifeByLogic is built by a small editorial team that genuinely wants to hear from you — whether you've found a methodology error, have an idea for a tool, want to collaborate, or simply want to tell us what worked.

§I. Why You Might Write

The messages we value most.

If your message fits one of these categories, starting the subject line with the category helps us route and prioritize faster.

i.

Methodology correction

Found an error in our weights, citations, or calculations? Please tell us — with the specific citation we got wrong and a reference to the correct source. We publish corrections.

Subject: Methodology — Brain Age Index
ii.

Tool suggestion

Have an idea for a new calculator? Tell us the question you're trying to answer in your own life. The best tool ideas almost always start as personal questions.

Subject: Tool Idea — [your idea]
iii.

Academic collaboration

Research partnerships, methodology reviews, dataset contributions, or co-authored tools. We are particularly interested in working with researchers who publish open data.

Subject: Collaboration — [institution]
iv.

Press & media

Journalists, writers, podcasters, or researchers looking for commentary on cognitive health, decision science, or behavioral economics. We respond to press inquiries within 48 hours.

Subject: Press — [outlet]
v.

Legal & privacy

Privacy requests (access, deletion, portability), GDPR or CCPA requests, copyright notices, or trademark questions. We respond within the legally required timeframes.

Subject: Privacy Request
vi.

General feedback

Anything else — a tool that worked for you, a feature idea, a typo, a broken link, or just to say hello. We genuinely enjoy these messages.

§II. Before You Write

The questions we're asked most.

A few quick answers — if your question is here, you may not need to write at all.

i. Is the site really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no signup and no paywall. We may one day offer optional premium reports (for example, a detailed Brain Age PDF with a 12-month action plan), but the core tools will always remain free. See our About page for the full commitments.

ii. How do I cite your tools in a research paper or article?

We'd be honored. Use the methodology identifier and a URL, for example: "LifeByLogic Brain Age Index (LBL-BAI), lifebylogic.com/brain-lab/brain-age-index.html, accessed [date]." Academic citations should also reference the underlying sources the tool cites (Livingston et al. 2024 Lancet Commission, etc.).

iii. Can I embed your tools on my own site?

Not at this time. You may link to any tool page freely, but direct embedding of our code is not permitted. If you have a genuine use case — clinical, academic, editorial — write to us and we will consider custom licensing.

iv. Do you accept sponsored content or advertising?

We accept sponsorship from research-aligned institutions under strict conditions: sponsorship never influences tool methodology, sponsored content is always clearly labeled, and we decline any sponsor whose interests conflict with rigorous evidence. We do not run display advertising or affiliate content within tools themselves.

v. My result concerns me — what should I do?

Our tools are educational — they are not medical, psychological, or financial advice. If a result surprises you or raises concern, the next step is a qualified professional: your physician for health questions, a licensed therapist for mental health, a fiduciary financial advisor for money questions. Use our tools to prepare better questions, not to replace professional judgment. See our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
